Reconstitution
- Use bacteriostatic water (BAC water) for reconstitution of lyophilized vials.
- Inject slowly down the inner wall of the vial — do not spray directly onto the powder.
- Roll the vial gently between your palms. Do not shake.
- Refrigerate immediately. Use within 28 days.

Dosing Protocol
2.5 mg weekly. Allows GI system adaptation and baseline tolerance assessment.
2.5 mg / weekIncrease by 2.5 mg every 4 weeks: 5 mg (wk 5–8), 7.5 mg (wk 9–12), 10 mg (wk 13–16), 12.5 mg (wk 17–20, optional step).
5–12.5 mg / week15 mg weekly maintenance. Some protocols may go up to 30 mg under close medical supervision.
15 mg / week (max 30 mg)Inject once weekly, same day each week. If a dose is missed and the next scheduled dose is more than 3 days away, administer the missed dose. Otherwise, skip and resume on the next scheduled day.

Storage & Handling
- Lyophilized: 2–8°C (refrigerator), protect from light
- Reconstituted: 2–8°C, use within 28 days
- Caution: Never freeze reconstituted solution
- Solution should be clear, colorless to slightly yellow
- Discard if particulates, cloudiness, or discoloration appear
- Label the vial with reconstitution date
Side Effect Management
Most side effects are gastrointestinal and dose-dependent. They typically improve within 2–3 weeks at each dose level. The gradual titration protocol above is designed to minimize GI impact. Report persistent or severe symptoms to your healthcare provider.
- Eat smaller, more frequent meals
- Avoid fatty or greasy foods
- Ginger tea or ginger supplements may help
- Expected therapeutic effect
- Ensure minimum nutrition intake (protein priority)
- Stay hydrated — aim for 2–3 L water daily
- Rotate injection sites each week
- Apply ice before injection to reduce discomfort
- Allow solution to reach room temperature before use
- Diarrhea and constipation may alternate initially
- Usually resolves within 2–3 weeks per dose level
- Consult provider if symptoms are severe or prolonged
